Vice President Lai Ching-te visited Compal Electronics, Inc. - Compal showcased its smart technology

Vice President Lai Ching-te visited Neihu headquarters of Compal Electronics in Taipei this afternoon, and he was personally received by Rock Hsu, its chairman. When the company confronts the advent of a new era as 5G and intelligence, technological innovation and talent investment must inevitably play a more important role in response to it. Chairman Hsu emphasized, "Compal will “base in Taiwan and deploy around the world." When the government is working to promote Taiwan to march to the world, it helps outstanding talents to step out and enterprises to come in for investment. As such, it will create a better investment environment in Taiwan, making up a positive cycle for goodness."

During the visit, Compal showcased its achievements of deployment in terms of biotechnology and smart medical technology in Taiwan in recent years. Aside from the technologies developed on its own, Compal has also invested in several companies, ranging from biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, medical services, and medical information, thus putting up the pan-medical industry supply chain gradually in shape. Regarding the development of immune-cell therapy towards cancer, Compal’s re-investment company "RaypalBio" has launched cell therapy of cooperation projects with several medical institutions under Special Management Regulations. Vice President Lai was most impressed by-products as “Electronic Medical Record System”, “Compal Ventilator”, “Low-Latency Image Transmission System at 4KVoIP Smart Operating Room”, “BoostFix Remote-household Rehabilitation Solution”, “Stampede Smart Sports Mat ”, “Pixsee Parenting Time Machine” of Compal, “AI Brainwave Stress Evaluation System” by HippoScreen, “3in1-Multifunction Test System for Blood Sugar, Total Cholesterol, Uric Acid” by Benecheck, and “Wireless Handheld Ultrasound” by Aco Healthcare.

In his speech, Vice President Lai said that Compal has already created an output value of more than NT$980 billion from the beginning of its establishment in 1984 to this very date, not to mention how wide range its products are and so as its active development towards smart technology. Of such achievement, it is really admirable by all, and he also hoped that Compal can achieve the goal of "creating greater and more happiness for mankind" in the future as chairman Hsu anticipates.

Compal has been actively deploying with innovative strengths in recent years. In 2020, Compal’s world status has upgraded to 11th in "Global Competitiveness Ranking of Corporate Innovation" during the German iF Design Award. At the end of the visit, Compal displayed its winning works for the "Gold Award" as "Lumi 1.0", "Lumi 2.0", and "Smart Conference", for they had, for three consecutive years, won the highest honors in iF. Besides, Compal also especially showcased the refined boutique brand of Taiwan as “Pixsee Parenting Time Machine”, reckoned as the leading and cross-industry design and development from Compal. Chairman Hsu noted, "in face of aging society with a low birthrate, Compal has always attached an importance to care for the employee, encouraged childbirth, and emphasized people-oriented corporate culture, which is well reflected in the deployment of Compal's innovative technology and smart medical business."

To the end, vice president Lai once again expressed his honor to visit the headquarters of Compal at Neihu, so that he could have perceived the vitality and innovative achievements of enterprises, and he encouraged Taiwanese enterprises to work hand in hand with the government and academic world in the future as they work towards the goals turning Taiwan into a smart and a healthy country.
