Participation in external Organizations：

Implementing ESG as one of Compal's core values, the company has long been actively involved in various domestic and global initiatives and associations, striving to achieve sustainable development goals. The areas of participation include industry information exchange, corporate governance, sustainable management and social care, tech innovation, etc. Compal engages in communication, exchanges insights, and shares implementation experiences with stakeholders and benchmark enterprises.

As climate issues receive increasing attention, Compal fully supports the Paris Agreement. The company has set a target to limit global warming to no more than 1.5°C and has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 for Compal and all its consolidated subsidiaries. Through the ESG Office, Compal selects public associations or non-profit organizations that align with the Paris Agreement and sustainable net-zero goals. These selections are reviewed by the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), who also serves as the highest leader, dedicating resources to participate in various seminars, workshops, and lectures to learn and explore innovative solutions to climate change. Each year, the ESG Office reassesses the consistency of its participation in initiatives or associations with the company's stance on climate change and the Paris Agreement goals. If any inconsistencies are found that cannot be adjusted in the short term, the company will communicate, make recommendations, or adopt an exit mechanism to ensure that the initiatives or associations it participates in align with Compal's actions and values. This mechanism covers all consolidated subsidiaries. In 2023, all participated initiatives and associations were consistent with the company's climate change stance and the Paris Agreement goals.

Facing diverse challenges requires strengthening internal knowledge and attitudes and achieving consensus. Therefore, each responsible unit and department provides corresponding trainings and courses to enhance overall operational capabilities, make an impact, and promote shared corporate responsibility across all segments of the value chain.
