The 2022 Compal Summer Fundraising event – Enjoy Summer

2022 / 07/ 08

< Compal's  Vice Chaiman & CSO : Ray Chen >

In June, colleagues from Compal started collecting six kinds of daily necessities, including rice, noodles, canned food, biscuits, toothpaste and soap, and launched a flash-registration activity for 100 packs as donations. The event was a great success and finished on June 21. We mainly worked with the "Kangaroo Project" of the Center of Care Services for Rural Area Education in Taiwan of Fu Jen Catholic University and community endpoints such as the Hsu Chauing Social Welfare Charity Foundation in New Taipei and Taoyuan to gather six essential item packs for schoolchildren and the elderly.

Seventy-seven colleagues from each of the Compal offices in Taipei, Linkou, the Optimax Building, and Pingzhen plant participated in this extremely successful event. The original goal was to gather 600 packs of supplies. We gathered more than 2,000. On June 22, the packs were distributed to the Center of Care Services for Rural Area Education in Taiwan of Fu Jen Catholic University and Hsu Chauing Social Welfare Charity Foundation. With much appreciated help, they were quickly distributed to Quaker Church, Dayuan Catholic Church, Sanmin Catholic Church, Ruixing Social Housing Estate, and others organizations, and directly to schoolchildren in need and elderly homes.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to colleagues for setting such great examples of empathy and for providing care and support for those in need.

Again, we wish to express of gratitude to all Compal partners for their continuous generosity and kindness as evidenced by all these charitable events.
