Compal's "Care for those who live in remote areas and spread hope" project makes a donation to Jinshan Elementary School's Study

Compal's "Care for those who live in remote areas and spread hope" project allows Jinshan Elementary School in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County to get new equipment. It received a donation of 20 iPads from the Luminous Angels School Companion Program of the company on the morning of the 24th. This donation is expected to kindle children's interests in collaborative learning in English across the school. It enables children to connect with others and have the courage to follow their dreams as they develop a new channel of self-confidence in learning.
During the event, school inspector Chen You-jie from the Education Bureau of the County Government gave special thanks to Compal for subsidizing 20 iPads for Jinshan Elementary School via the Luminous Angels School Companion Program so the school could upgrade their equipment. The Luminous Angel Program also provides children with after-school courses and ensures that every student has a tablet. Inspector Chen You-jie noted that the educational vision of the county government is "holistic education, in school and in life, and international mobility". The Luminous Angels School Companion Program of Jinshan Elementary School connects students with English-language companions outside the county so they can study together using technology. With the internet, learning resources have been introduced and such new resources can enable children to develop their own creative energy, cultivate international language literacy and a macro vision so they can experience happiness in life, and create a beautiful society and culture with others.
Compal's mission and long-term commitment is to power sustainable development and fulfill its corporate social responsibility. Adhering to the spirit of giving back to society, Compal continues focusing on the learning needs of children in remote areas so it can help close the educational gap between urban and rural areas. Donations, such as iPads, allow children in remote areas the same access as those in urban areas so they continue learning without interruption. Compal also wishes that children have complete and convenient long-distance online learning equipment so they can learn English with their senior schoolmates to open up new channels of opportunities.
Principal Tsai Cheng-hong of Jinshan Elementary School said he is particularly grateful to Compal for the "Care for those who live in remote areas and spread hope" project which have been pursued in line with the 12-year Basic Education program, "Unlocking Infinite Possibilities for Children". This combines the vision of the 2019 new curriculum, and should profoundly cultivate children's skills and development through the application of digital learning vehicles to strengthen children's confidence for the future. Thanks also go to the HCI Foundation, which has been driving the various courses and club activities of schools for children to have a diverse course learning experience for free. Since 2021, Jinshan Elementary School has also worked with the 2021-22 Regional English Education Committee of the 3481 Area of Rotary International to invite students from Our Lady of Providence High School, a private high school in New Taipei City, to serve as senior study companions, and accompany the primary school partners to conduct online English interactive learning every week. Such initiatives close the gap between the learning experiences of urban and rural children. With online English study groups led by senior schoolmates, children's learning experience can be heightened. These iPads will not only make it easier for children to engage in online learning with senior study partners, but also optimize the background of the children as they face the future and develop into high-quality talent with a diverse set of skills and pursue their own career paths as the next generation.
Liu Chen-wei, a grade 5 student at Jinshan Elementary School, said a big thank you to Compal for providing these alternative learning tools. Using iPads and the internet, they can communicate with senior study companions at Our Lady of Province High School, a private school in New Taipei City, and help understand their skill and ability levels to motivate them to continue learning English. Gu Shi-ming, another grade 5 student, also said that he can watch interesting animations and listen to music as a method of learning English with both senior and younger study companions. Thanks for introducing this great equipment to school; it's going to help him learn English a lot better!
With distinguished guests at the meeting, the 20 iPads from the Luminous Angel School Companion Program for Jinshan Elementary School was were officially launched for use, and they have kindled the enthusiasm of children to learn and follow their dreams by building confidence and passion in their abilities.
