2021 COMPAL CSR Sustainability-TCFD & SASB Kickoff Meeting

Since the establishment of the CSR Management Committee in 2009, COMPAL has publicly disclosed its annual CSR report in good faith on the company’s efforts in green environmental sustainability, social diversified care, professional cultivation of talents, green energy product innovation..., and corporate governance in financial performance and all aspects of ESG.  The impact of global warming and climate change has significantly affected the global ecology and people’s livelihood and economy, and enterprises from all around the world highly value their sustainable responsibilities in order to give back to society.

COMPAL has continued to implement ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory checks since 2009.  After the completion of external verification in 2010, the targets of ISO14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory and the phased goal of carbon emission reduction have continued to be implemented by plants in Taiwan and China year after year.  Chaired by CSR Committee Commissioner, Martin Wong, a meeting was held with COMPAL executive managers to discuss corporate sustainability goal reformation strategies.  The TCFD & SASB kickoff meeting was held for COMPAL sustainability on October 5.  Partner of Ernst & Young, Tseng, Yu-Zer and his team were invited to serve as Compal’s lecturers and advisors to assist all departments in introducing the latest sustainability management system to improve the promotion of the company’s overall sustainability strategic goals to give back to all stakeholders in return for their careful attention to COMPAL’s ESG, be consistent with the path of the Paris Agreement, achieve Taiwan’s net zero emissions target and work hard together to solve global climate change issues.    

COMPAL has been continuously deepening the concept of sustainable operation and sustainable actions connected to the world, caring for the disadvantaged and rural education, promoting the positive social cycle to promote long-term sustainable value of the company.
