Ground-breaking ceremony for the new construction project of Compal & New Kinpo Group Headquarters

Compal & New Kinpo Group values the business development in Taiwan. By integrating the resources of the Group and adopting the goal of establishing new generation of "Smart Cross-Domain Park", Compal & New Kinpo Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new construction of its headquarters in this morning (2/8).

Vice President Lai Ching-te, Rock Hsu, Chairman of Compal  &New Kinpo Group, Chiang Wan-an, Mayor of Taipei, and Wang Jen-jeng, Chairman of DACIN Construction Co., Ltd. jointly broke the ground together with ceremonial shovels. The new project of the headquarters of New Kinpo Group was officially signed with the Taipei City Government on January 18, 2022. After the relevant construction and management procedures were completed, the construction will be commenced on February 8, 2023, and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Rock Hsu, Chairman of Compal & New Kinpo Group, said that the advantageous geographical location of Beitou Shilin Technology Park is the reason for the Group to establish the future operation headquarters in the region! In addition to the surrounding high-quality living circle, it also has comprehensive medical resources and multiple institutions of higher education, which will bring solid industry-university resources and talent supply. As the largest production base and main entrance development project of Beitou Shilin Technology Park, the investment of headquarters of New Kinpo Group is expected to exceed NT$ 30 billion to build a headquarters building with 55 above ground level and 4 basement floors, with a total height of 266 meters. It will be designed by the famous architect C.Y. LEE & Partners Architects/Planners. By bringing together elites from all sides, not only to show New Kinpo Group's ambition to enter the global market from Taiwan, but also to build a new generation of headquarters park with a sustainable view! In addition to economic development, it is expected that the new generation park will take into account people's needs for life and environment.

Rock Hsu, Chairman, further explained that Compal & New Kinpo Group has been the leaders in the IT communication industry. In recent years, the Group has extended to many emerging technology fields. This development plan will take "Smart Cross-domain Park" as the development goal, introduce the concepts of office, innovation, R&D and science and technology, take smart economy, smart building, smart environment, smart health and smart transportation as the five major development functions to build the corporate headquarters of the Group, and bring the electronic communication, 5G technology, smart medical care, energy management, R&D innovation and other industries of the Group to Beitou Shilin Technology Park.
 

The total area of this development project is about 78,000 square meters. Other than providing 44,000 square meters of office space for the group, 7,500 square meters of supporting services are planned to provide catering, retail, fitness, medical care and other related needs, so as to build a comprehensive life function of Beitou Shilin Technology Park. In addition, we are also actively planning friendly and green transportation plans to provide shuttle buses, u-bike stations, shared vehicles and charging parking spaces for electric vehicles to and from MRT stations in the future.
In the face of the global 2050 net zero action, this project will be the first large-scale development construction project in Taiwan to obtain the "First-Class Building Energy Efficiency", domestic green building gold standard and the smart building gold standard! In terms of landscape planning, the overall concept is "Taiwan Forest", which is surrounded by layers of green forests, creating a rare urban forest in the city with an open green space of more than 20,000 square meters, and extending the river bank green belt of Wai Shuang Hsi River at the south side. It will become a high-tech office park with the highest green coverage rate. It is also hoped that it will become a good place for Taipei residents to rest and walk in the future.
