Before the new semester starts, the colleagues of Compal participate in the online seminar “Finding the beauty of wetlands” with their children on August 27. Compal aimed to allow all colleagues to understand the importance of blue carbon eco-system, mangrove, in carbon reduction. We have invited Ju-jen Wu from the Environmental Conservation Organization to use a cute picture book to introduce the mangrove wetlands with the Kandelia obovata, the plate grown in the wetlands and the birds and ocean creatures running around the wetlands.

Wetland is not only the home for animals and plants, it also serve the function of protecting animals and plants, prevent flooding and purifying water. The class introduced wetland animals such as fiddler, mudskipper and little egret so the children can learn more about the beauty of wetlands and the importance of protecting wetland ecology
