Employee Structure-by Region

At the end of December 2023, Compal employed a total of 36,363 people at our Taiwan R&D Headquarters (including expatriates), China plants, and other overseas locations (not including temporary workers). These included 8,665 in Taiwan, 19,998 in China, 6,957 at Vietnam plants, 613 at Brazil plant, and 130 at U.S. plant. Due to global operations and production needs, we made adjustments to our global employee allocation in 2023. As a result, there are significant differences in workforce allocation in China and Vietnam compared to the previous year.

Employee Structure-by Gender

The Compal global employees are comprised of 61.44% men and 38.56% women. The variation arises from the diversity of tasks rather than gender.The share of women in 2023 was 0.3% lower than the previous year, due to mainly to transition period for global manpower adjustments; the share of women in all management position and the share of women in STEM-related positions in 2023 were 0.43% and 0.42% higher than the previous year respectively. This indicates that women in tech is beginning to make wave.
