COMPAL Electronics proudly announces the completion of Phase I of its new manufacturing facility in Czeladź, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland, on June 30, 2025. This milestone marks a significant step in COMPAL’s strategic expansion into the European automotive electronics market.

The new facility will focus on the production of automotive electronic components, initially centered on Electronic Control Units (ECUs), with future plans to extend into Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving System (ADS) sensors. This demonstrates COMPAL’s strong commitment to innovation and alignment with the future trends of the automotive industry.

The Phase I plant, completed in June 2025, is scheduled to begin pilot production by the end of 2025 and mass production in 2026. Designed for a maximum annual capacity of 3.5 million ECUs, the factory is equipped with seven fully automated assembly and testing lines, featuring cleanroom environments and positive pressure systems to ensure superior product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

The new Poland facility will enhance COMPAL’s localized production capabilities, serving European OEMs and Tier-One suppliers, while improving supply chain responsiveness, efficiency, and flexibility. David Wang, Senior Vice President of COMPAL’s Automotive Electronics Product Business Unit (AEPBU), stated: “The Poland plant represents a critical step in our global automotive strategy. We are committed to building a world-class facility that meets the highest standards in quality, sustainability, and technology.”

The plant is expected to obtain ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 certifications for automotive quality management, and is designed in accordance with BREEAM sustainable building standards, with a target rating of “Excellent.”

The Poland project began with a groundbreaking ceremony in July 2024, underscoring COMPAL’s dedication to establishing a strong automotive footprint in Europe. Plans for Phase II expansion will be evaluated based on future developments in global trade and tariff policies.

In addition, COMPAL will establish regional business development and technical support teams in Europe, enabling close collaboration with local customers for engineering and technology development.
