President Hsu Sheng-Hsiung of COMPAL Group has been honored once again in the 2024 HBR Taiwan Top 100 Business Leaders list, following his inclusion in 2022. The organization continues to uphold an "excellent" rating in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, reflecting its ongoing dedication to sustainable practices. Since COMPAL went public in 1992, under President Hsu's stewardship, the company has achieved an impressive total shareholder return of 1,187%, moving up from 25th place in 2022 to 5th place in 2024. Additionally, Compal's market value has increased by NT$154.3 billion, with an average quarterly earnings per share (EPS) of 2.7.

The award ceremony for HBR's "Taiwan Top 100 Business Leaders" was held on July 31, where COMPAL was represented by Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer Wang Zheng-Qiang, who accepted the accolade of being ranked 19th in the 2024 list.
In an interview with Harvard Business Review, President Hsu remarked that since taking on the role of Chairman in 1984, COMPAL has consistently placed a strong emphasis on developing local talent. He has long adhered to a personnel philosophy that includes "identifying and nurturing talent, establishing layered responsibilities, granting full authority, avoiding the employment of those who raise doubts, and trusting those who are on board." This philosophy empowers the management team to utilize their strengths effectively.
As COMPAL navigates future challenges, President Hsu underscores the significance of global corporate sustainability commitments, staying attuned to international developments, and implementing a diversified business strategy. The company is focused on broadening its global reach in green technologies, AI-driven digital economies, automotive electronics, smart healthcare, and biotechnology through collaborative efforts across various domains to remain competitive.
