The Wild Bird Society of Taipei, steward of Guandu Nature Park, invited COMPAL Electronics to join the celebration of the park’s 25th anniversary on September 14 and to attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Guandu International Nature Art Festival, themed “Seeing Guandu: Nature as a Solution 20/25.”
Since Guandu Nature Park was established in 1996, the Taipei City Government has entrusted its management and operation to the Wild Bird Society of Taipei in 2001, marking 25 years of stewardship up to 2025. At the opening ceremony on September 14, Taipei Mayor Wayne Chiang delivered remarks and officially kicked off a series of festival events.
COMPAL was invited to participate in the Guandu International Nature Art Festival 2025, joining curating artists, volunteers, community residents, village chiefs, and sponsoring enterprises such as HSBC, the Wistron Cultural and Educational Foundation, and CTCI Group, along with representatives from industry, government, and academia. Together, they took part in the carnival-style celebration to express their support for living in harmony with nature—allowing seasonal ecosystems to function in their natural rhythms, welcoming migratory birds back on schedule, and integrating art into everyday life.
Over the past twenty years, the Guandu Art Festival has collaborated with more than 130 artists from over 30 countries, curating nature-integrated artworks, organizing local farmers’ markets, green education activities, and outdoor lawn concerts. Faculty and students from Taipei National University of the Arts in Guandu, along with local schools and residents, have jointly contributed to this community carnival, working together to protect and showcase the beauty of the Guandu wetland as a shared home.
COMPAL places great importance on protecting biodiversity in local communities. To promote environmental education, we organize wetland conservation–themed ecological education courses and volunteer service activities every year. We hope to enrich more people’s learning journeys and work together for the Earth’s future and for a better quality of life.
