As the summer holidays began in July, COMPAL Electronics joined hands with the Hsu Chau-Ying Foundation to launch the “COMPAL Family Camp | Life Education”, inviting COMPAL colleagues and their families to discover the mysterious world of insects. Through a camp themed “Masters of Camouflage”, the program opened a life-education journey into nature and ecology for children.
A total of 66 COMPAL colleagues and family members joined the camp on Saturday, July 19, stepping into the world of land and marine creatures. Starting from guided observation and learning activities about insects, the program led children into life education topics through hands-on exploration.
For this event, the Hsu Chau-Ying Foundation invited Principal Tsung-Lieh Kuo, an insect expert who traveled all the way from Pingtung, along with his young assistant and a group of beetle “friends.” Through close-up observation and introductions to their living environments, he helped ease people’s fear and anxiety toward the unknown. By weaving together life education and environmental education, participants were able to get to know the tiny creatures hidden among leaves, soil, and even in our everyday surroundings. Children learned to respect the uniqueness of every living being and to understand that each life has its own form, rhythm, and growth cycle.
In addition to the many surprises and learning moments on site, 11 volunteer “big brothers and big sisters” from COMPAL’s volunteer club accompanied the children with great enthusiasm. The presence and support of Secretary-General Wang Ju-Fen from the Hsu Chau-Ying Foundation made the entire event even warmer and more joyful.
COMPAL Electronics has long regarded the promotion of quality education as a core mission of its ESG social engagement. Through life education, we hope to guide children to respect the uniqueness of every life. Through environmental education, we aim to raise community awareness of conservation and the value of biodiversity—helping students cultivate scientific literacy and independent thinking through observation, and build a forward-looking perspective of coexisting and thriving together with nature.
From each immersive experience, we hope children can develop independent thinking, shape their personal character, learn to respect different forms of life, and gradually build their life science literacy—growing a future vision rooted in living in harmony with the natural world.
Quality education plants the seeds of sustainability;
life education is where caring begins.
Let’s work together for a sustainable Earth!
