COMPAL x Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital “Encountering Love in the Light” Care Initiative 2025

2025 marks the third consecutive year that COMPAL has sponsored and participated in Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital’s year-end care initiative, “Encountering Love in the Light.” On December 29, Ms. Tang Shang-Hui, Manager of COMPAL’s Sustainability Development Office, attended the event on behalf of COMPAL, hoping to share the warmth and blessings of the festive season through beautiful music with visually impaired friends and their families, as well as volunteers and medical staff.
This event, titled “Encountering Love in the Light | Year-End Care Day for the Visually Impaired,” was organized by the Mission and Identity Office of the Department of Humanities at Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital. Visually impaired friends and their families from the New Taipei City Blind Rehabilitation Institute and the Eden Social Welfare Foundation were invited to join medical staff, volunteers, and community partners for a concert. Together, they shared joy and blessings in anticipation of 2026 and created meaningful memories to close out 2025.
Guests enjoyed a saxophone performance by Mr. Chang Lin-Feng, the first blind alumnus of Fu Jen University’s Department of Music; a quintet performance by Jingxin Girls’ High School; eye-care advice from Dr. Chen Hsing-Yi, Director of Ophthalmology at Fu Jen Hospital; a “Four Don’ts and One Question” safety reminder shared by visually impaired volunteers from the New Taipei City Blind Rehabilitation Institute along with their 7-year-old guide dog, Qiao; and Ms. Chin Pei-Hua’s reflections on her 14 years of service with the Fu Jen Care Team for the Visually Impaired. Like the warm winter sun, music gently accompanied everyone, connecting hearts through notes and melodies—encouraging passion, care, and love.
Dr. Huang Jui-Jen, President of Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital, remarked:
“The year-end is a time for reflection and gratitude, as well as a starting point for new beginnings. Moving forward, Fu Jen Hospital will continue to integrate corporate and social resources, strengthen local connections, and ensure that healthcare not only heals the body but also comforts the soul—allowing love and hope to resonate throughout the medical environment.”
Mr. Ray Chen, Chairman of COMPAL Electronics, stated:
“COMPAL has long been committed to social welfare and caring for disadvantaged communities, and we hope to give back to society through concrete actions. It is especially meaningful to partner with Fu Jen Hospital in promoting this year-end care initiative for the visually impaired. Through music and companionship, we hope to bring warmth and encouragement to visually impaired friends while injecting more positive energy into society.”
💗 Through beautiful musical performances and heartfelt life stories, participants shared precious moments of companionship and attentive listening. With kindness in our hearts and action in our steps, we welcome the new year—lighting the way for ourselves and others, and allowing love to flow through sincere care.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2026.
