COMPAL partners have been supporting public welfare activities and responding to blood donation campaigns year after year. The administration team, under the call of Senior Director Ms. Tang Tak Fung, participated in the kick-off ceremony of “Thousands of Blood Donors. The Executive Management Team participated in the “1,000 Blood Donors, One Blood, One Frame” kick-off ceremony organized by Neihu Science Park on February 12, and encouraged colleagues to donate blood to help others together with Neihu's community response enterprises. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan was also on hand to kick off the blood donation campaign with the ambassadors beating the drums.

 

The next day, February 13th, COMPAL held a blood donation activity in the lobby of its headquarters, and employees adopted a reservation and registration system. If you have the desire to donate blood but have not made an appointment to register for a blood donation slot, you can also make an appointment on-site to register. Although the weather was not good, 135 employees participated in the blood donation campaign and collected 199 bags. On February 19th, COMPAL was represented by Chih-Hung Chiu, Manager of Sustainable Development Office, to attend the “113th Year Kei Bei Bei Tao My Carbon Reduction Passbook National Campaign Achievement Exhibition and Third Quarter Model Enterprise Award Ceremony” jointly invited by the mayors of Kei Bei Bei Tao.

Mayor Chiang Wan-an of Taipei City said in his speech that according to the statistics of the organizing unit, a total of 369 enterprises responded to the “Kei Bei Bei Tao My Carbon Reduction Passbook” in 113 years, and 333,210 people in the whole of Taiwan signed up to participate in the campaign, with a total carbon emission of 44,296 metric tons, which is equivalent to the amount of carbon absorbed by 115 Daan Forest Parks. Thanks to the enthusiastic response from the public, carbon reduction has become part of our daily life.

Since 2024, COMPAL has supported the “Inner Lake Transportation Green Transportation Integrated ESG Promotion Project” by the Bureau of Transportation of the Taipei City Government and the Neihu Science and Technology Park Development Association. In July of the same year, COMPAL colleagues were encouraged to participate in the “Kei Bei Bei Taotao, My Carbon Reduction Passbook” Green Action, and COMPAL won the 1st place in the 2nd and 3rd quarter of the Carbon Reduction Activity 🥇 .

COMPAL's Manager, Mr. Chih-Hung Chiu, said in his speech, “COMPAL has more than 8,000 employees in the internal department from all over North and North Keatau, and if all of them drive, it will cause traffic congestion and generate a lot of carbon emissions! We encourage our employees to take public transportation, and through the carbon passbook activity, we can record the results of carbon reduction.

For example, for the wetland environmental lectures and volunteer service activities, the meeting places were set at Nangang, Mangrove, Tamshui, Guandu, etc. of MRT.

Thank you to the city government for providing this carbon reduction registration platform for corporate employees to participate, and we will continue to encourage our employees to take the public transportation system, not only to solve the traffic congestion problem, but also to fulfill our ESG commitment to do our part in green carbon reduction!

 

In 2025, COMPAL encourages COMPAL employees to continue to participate in the “Carbon Reduction Coalition My Carbon Reduction Passbook” by riding on the public transportation system and practicing energy saving and carbon reduction in their daily lives with their families and friends. A journey of a thousand miles starts from the first step, let's implement personal sustainable plastic and carbon reduction actions and try low carbon travel.
