As part of its commitment to sustainable development and employee well-being, COMPAL continues to support workplace clubs and health promotion initiatives. On April 20, the COMPAL Tai Chi Club participated in the 2025 Song-Rou Cup Tai Chi and Martial Arts Exchange Invitational in Luzhou District, New Taipei City. Under the guidance of instructor Mr. Chang Po-I, 15 club members showcased their skills in Tai Chi routines, sword techniques, and Tai Chi fan forms, highlighting years of dedicated practice and martial arts cultivation.
Founded in 2004, the COMPAL Tai Chi Club has now reached its 21st year. Mr. Chang has been a constant figure throughout, patiently teaching everything from basic forms to advanced weapon routines and the Baduanjin qigong practice. This event marked the club’s first large-scale public performance, serving as a milestone in its history.
Club president Mr. Huang shared, “This opportunity encouraged many of us to step out of our comfort zones. After each class, members would voluntarily stay to practice, help one another, and ask for extra guidance. It was very moving. Personally, I trained every night for ten consecutive days in preparation. Although I didn’t get the chance to perform in the end, the process taught me a great deal and made me appreciate the saying, ‘The journey is more important than the destination.’”
COMPAL emphasizes that promoting a healthy lifestyle is a key part of achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3. Good Health and Well-being. By supporting employee-led clubs and encouraging physical activity, the company fosters a positive and connected workplace culture while enhancing long-term resilience and sustainability.
Looking forward, COMPAL remains committed to ESG principles and the SDGs by empowering employees through health, education, and cultural engagement—paving the way for a sustainable future where both the company and its people grow together.
