In recognition of its long-term commitment to advancing rural education and supporting underprivileged students in local communities, COMPAL was once again honored with the 2025 Ministry of Education Silver Medal. The company was invited to attend the 100th Anniversary Thanksgiving Celebration of Fu Jen Catholic University.
On December 6, Ms. Sophia Tang, Manager of COMPAL’s ESG Office, represented the company at the ceremony and received the Silver Medal for Educational Contribution from Vice President for Mission, Dr. Wang Wen-Lin of Fu Jen Catholic University. COMPAL was honored to receive the award alongside other distinguished Fu Jen alumni.
The celebration was marked by the presence of President Lai Ching-te, who delivered remarks and participated in the blessing ceremony. Pope Leo XIV also sent a congratulatory message. Sister Mary Rose, known as the “Mother of Textiles,” attended the event along with alumni award recipients from around the world to celebrate the University’s centennial milestone—honoring its mission, legacy, innovation, and sustainable development.

COMPAL has partnered with the Fu Jen University Center for Rural Education Care since 2009, initially promoting digital information education. In 2019, the collaboration expanded to include the public welfare initiative known as the “Kangaroo Project.” Together, the partnership has spanned 17 years. Each year, COMPAL continues to allocate resources to community-based learning sites in underserved areas and to cultivate local teaching talent.
COMPAL hopes that more children in need of care and support will be empowered to discover their life goals and create bright futures of their own.
