On July 4, 2025, Mr. Chih-Hung Chao, Manager of the Sustainable Development Office at COMPAL Electronics, was invited to speak at the “2025 Hsinchu County Corporate Net-Zero Action Workshop” hosted by the Environmental Protection Bureau of Hsinchu County Government.

                                                       

In his keynote presentation, Mr. Chao shared COMPAL’s decarbonization strategies and practical actions taken toward emissions reduction. By presenting COMPAL’s net-zero transition case, he guided workshop participants through group discussions designed to help them reflect on their own operational models and identify feasible emissions reduction strategies, appropriate carbon reduction pathways, and optimal resource utilization approaches. These efforts align with the global goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

In 2024, COMPAL was officially certified by RE100 and successfully passed the validation of its science-based targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), thereby completing its target-setting process. Looking ahead to the goal of achieving 100% renewable energy usage by 2050, COMPAL is actively collaborating with customers and suppliers as sustainability partners—driving collective action and shared commitment to realize net-zero carbon emissions.
