On November 22, 2025, COMPAL Electronics held its Family Day environmental program for the second consecutive year at Guandu Nature Park, with 51 COMPAL colleagues and their family members participating.
With low-carbon mobility as the shared goal, participants brought their own eco-friendly supplies and gathered at the park entrance to take part in a full day of environmental education and wetland volunteer service.
Guided by professional volunteer instructors from the Taipei Wild Bird Society, COMPAL volunteers of all ages explored the Guandu Wetland, discovering “Ecological Taipei at Guandu.” They observed diverse wetland plants and wildlife living in harmony with nature, encountered water buffalo grazing leisurely, watched migratory birds arriving in step with the seasons, and appreciated the latest artworks created by artists throughout the ecological park.
In the afternoon, both children and adults attentively followed the instructors’ guidance, donned protective waders, and worked together to remove invasive plant species spreading through the canals. These efforts helped protect native biodiversity, maintain ecological balance, prevent habitat terrestrialization, and preserve the ecological functions of the wetlands, while also nurturing hopes for a fertile landscape in the coming year.
COMPAL Electronics places great importance on protecting biodiversity within local communities. To advance environmental education, the company conducts annual wetland conservation courses and volunteer service activities, enriching learning experiences and encouraging more people to work together for the future of the planet and a better quality of life.
COMPAL will continue to promote ESG sustainability and biodiversity governance by maintaining a paid volunteer leave system, encouraging employees to engage in social and environmental initiatives, and adopting the TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures) framework to integrate nature-related risks and opportunities into corporate decision-making.
