On April 16, 2025, COMPAL, in collaboration with the Hsu Chau-Ying Foundation, held a Digital Device Donation Event at Dingshe Elementary School in Taoyuan City. The event opened with a spirited performance by the school’s Taiko drumming club, composed of students from grades four to six. After three years of dedicated practice, the students showcased remarkable rhythm and teamwork, their eyes focused and energy high, with each beat echoing their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
As part of this initiative, COMPAL donated 100 iPads to ten rural elementary schools, supporting the implementation of programs in maker education, bilingual learning, digital education, and environmental literacy. On the day of the event, all ten participating school principals were present to receive the donation. Distinguished attendees included Ms. Lin Shu-Fen, Senior Specialist from the Taoyuan Department of Education, Ms. Hu Jui-Yun, Assistant of the Information Education Division, Ms. Tang Shang-Hui, Manager of the COMPAL Sustainability Office, and Mr. Wang, Secretary General of the Hsu Chau-Ying Foundation.
Ms. Lin extended her appreciation to the Hsu Chau-Ying Foundation for its long-standing dedication to improving education in Taoyuan’s rural areas, enabling students to access diverse learning opportunities and realize their full potential.
Following the ceremony, guests were guided by Principal Sun of Dingshe Elementary School on a tour of the school’s herbal garden, agricultural education zone, and affiliated kindergarten. Students personally served handmade herbal tea and introduced the local tea plants and botany knowledge, showcasing the school’s accomplishments in thematic curriculum and environmental education.
