COMPAL Electronics has released its 2024 Sustainability Report on August 13, covering the period from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. This report details the company's annual performance in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) aspects.  

COMPAL demonstrated outstanding achievements in 2024 across ESG governance, climate action, green product innovation, inclusive workplaces, and community engagement — reinforcing its role as a leading global ICT brand with a strong commitment to sustainability. According to the newly released 2024 Sustainability Report, COMPAL continues to make steady progress toward its 2050 net-zero goal while strengthening governance and operational resilience.

 

In terms of corporate governance, COMPAL was ranked in the Top 5% in the 11th TWSE Corporate Governance Evaluation. The Company has continued to enhance the independence and diversity of its Board of Directors, increasing the number of independent directors to five in 2024, representing 33% of the Board, and appointing one female director. COMPAL was also selected for the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024, receiving both the Top 10% ranking and the Industry Mover Award in the Computers, Peripherals and Office Electronics sector — a testament to its robust ESG performance and continuous advancement.

 

On the climate front, COMPAL officially joined the RE100 initiative in 2024 and received SBTi validation for its science-based carbon reduction targets, pledging 100% renewable energy by 2050. COMPAL achieved a total reduction of 14,761 tCO₂e under the “ONE+N Electronic Supply Chain Net-Zero Acceleration Program,” significantly surpassing its goal. In environmental sustainability, energy intensity decreased to 1.15 GJ per million NTD revenue, down 9.8% from 2023. Renewable energy consumption reached 470,680.6 GJ, accounting for 45.15% of total energy use. Total waste generation was 3,544.4 metric tons, marking a 54.0% reduction compared to 2023. The company was also named one of Business Weekly’s 2024 Carbon Competitiveness Top 100.

 

COMPAL continued to promote workplace inclusion and well-being. The proportion of female managers rose to 30.04%, and the key position retention rate reached 94%. With ongoing support for flexible work arrangements and family benefits, COMPAL was honored with the Happiness Enterprise Gold Award by 1111 Job Bank.

 

In social engagement, COMPAL donated over NT$45 million, with more than 5,500 employee volunteer participations, positively impacting over 320,000 beneficiaries, underscoring its deep commitment to local impact and corporate citizenship.
