“2025 World Vision Red Envelope Campaign – Passing on Love” Award Ceremony
On December 11, COMPAL Electronics was invited to join other caring enterprises at the press conference for World Vision Taiwan’s “2025 Red Envelope Campaign – Passing on Love: Empowering Children to Become Better Adults.” Ms. Sophia Tang, Manager of COMPAL’s ESG Office, represented the company at the event.
COMPAL’s public welfare cycling team, under the initiative “Ride for Good,” has been active for ten years, traveling to the Hualien and Taitung regions to visit and support volunteer partners of World Vision Hualien. Through such actions, COMPAL hopes to inspire broader public participation—encouraging those who are able to give to share red envelopes filled with blessings at year-end, helping underprivileged children meet their most basic wishes: to have enough food, to stay safe, and to face tomorrow with hope.
In 2025, based on nearly four years of firsthand data—close to 300,000 records (293,327 cases)—World Vision Taiwan released its exclusive report, “2021–2024 Trends in the Needs of Economically Disadvantaged Children and Youth in Taiwan.” The findings reveal that under the combined impact of tariffs and inflation, vulnerable children’s living conditions have regressed by four years.
Among disadvantaged youth who have taken on part-time jobs to cope with financial pressures, 7% work more than 40 hours per week. Yet these children have not given up on themselves—56% aspire to complete a university education, striving for independence, self-reliance, and a chance to transform their futures.
