On September 25, 2024, a donation ceremony was held at the Qishan Branch Library. Represented by COMPAL Manager Sophia Tang, the “Compal Happy Reading ” was officially launchedin Qishan. In the event, Kaohsiung Municipal Library Director Li Jin-yang, Chi-shan District Dade Li Zeng Qing-yi, Chi-shan Jun-i Wu, Chi-shan Junior High School Principal, Chi-Mei Elementary School Principal Chen Hsuan-bo, and Chi-shan Elementary School children celebrated the opening of the Chi-Shan COMPAL Joy Net.

The excellent 16 students from Qishan Elementary School presented a live recorder performance, including “Canon” and “Hall's Moving Castle”, which was played by a variety of recorder ensembles. The children's pleasant notes led them through all corners of the world, bringing the beauty of music to the Flagstaff Library, which is filled with the rich smell of books, and also demonstrating the children's achievements in instrumental music learning, and their musical talents in improving their sense of sound and rhythm.
With its natural lighting and book-like design, the green building of Qishan Library has become one of the characteristic buildings in the Qishan area. The librarian of Kaohsiung Municipal Library, Mr. Li Jin-yang, the teachers and teachers in the area strongly encourage the teachers and students to “never tire of learning and teaching”, and the elders of the area help to maintain the library, which adds the aroma of books to Qishan, where the history and literature of the area converge.
In the fifth year, COMPAL and Kaohsiung City Library cooperated on the “ESG Reading Program for the Remote Areas” to promote zero distance reading for children in remote areas, and the AR technology for reading made “digital reading” more diversified and rooted in environmental protection education. The “Kaohsiung Library in Action” team traveled to Liugui, Meinong, and Qishan to serve community residents and encourage children to develop a reading habit.
