Taipei, Taiwan (May 27, 2019) – Compal Electronics is pleased to debut the two time iF Gold Award winning – LUMI at this year’s InnoVEX 2019. Hosted by Compal’s own bIOSlab team, the winning entries, both LUMI 1.0* and LUMI 2.0** can be seen and experienced at the show. In line with this year’s InnoVEX theme of “New Thinking · New Engineering · New Future,” LUMI seeks to highlight themes like “PC made fun,” “Furniturized Tech” and “Nimble Applications” for show-goers to experience for themselves the creative, flexible uses of this award winning innovation.
Aside from sharing the joys of a consecutive international gold win, through these closeup interactions with the general public, the bIOSlab team expects to gain firsthand insights through trade personnel and end-user feedback for greater hardware and software uses, as well as market potentials and futures.
LUMI is inspired by furniture design, and is capable of projecting a large 20” desktop menu running Windows OS on any flat surface and up to 80” of streaming content against the wall for impactful entertainment. The projected infrared touch screen enables mixed reality applications, as does speech-controls for a new type of interactive learning experience. With preset flexible usages, families can expect to learn and connect with one another while having fun with their imagination.
Lastly, both generations of LUMI offer end-users a minimalist lifestyle by freeing workstations up from messy cords and clunky clutter. As such, it is this – where something extraordinary can be achieved when the delicate balance between analog and digital is harmonized – that the bIOSlab team envisions for all its new, modern one-of-a-kind designs.
