Compal Primed for Global 5G Push

TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Compal is pleased to announce that our 5G LGA module is officially compliant with CCC, CE, GCF and TELEC certifications. 5G M.2 form factor is officially GCF certified and CE certification will be completed in March, 2020.

Compal’s current 5G lineup includes RXM-G1 and RXL-G1 modules based on Qualcomm’s SDX55 5G Modem-RF System, supporting M.2 and LGA form factors respectively. The modules have native support for 5G NSA and SA modes, TDD and FDD bands as well as 5G/4G spectrum sharing (including 5G Sub-6GHz and mmWave). Sub-6Ghz will support 200MHz bandwidth, 4x4 MIMO while mmWave supports 800MHz bandwidth and 2x2 MIMO. 5G peak download speed tops out at 7.5 Gbps, with peak upload speed of up to 3Gbps. Also integrated are dual-frequency GNSS, GPS and Dual-SIM support.

With all the technological advancement of 5G network such as high bandwidth and ultra-low-latency, 5G will enable the vast possibilities that 5G connectivity can bring to all industries, businesses and our daily lives. Amidst the tremendous 5G growth opportunities around the world, Compal will be looking to maintain the early lead and momentum and collaborate with our global partners to reshape the 5G landscape worldwide.

Compal has been preparing for the 5G frontier in the past year and we have full-fledged test labs and production lines ready for the imminent 5G push. In the year ahead, Compal will be committed to working with our domain SI & device partners to realize different user scenarios including mmWave solutions and remain as the world’s leading 5G connectivity solution vendor.
