Compal Electronics, Inc. (“Compal”) (TAIEX: 2324) today announced 1H17 consolidated financial results. Consolidated revenue was NT$401,208 million, +15% YoY, contributed by the growth of PC related products and smart device business. Consolidated operating profit was NT$3,842 million, -26% YoY, mainly impacted by the NT$3,588 million inventory and A/R impairment loss from Leshi. Consolidated net profit was NT$1,525 million, and net profit attributed to the parent company was NT$1,328 million. Earnings per share (EPS) was NT$0.31 in 1H17.
Consolidated revenue in 2Q17 was NT$213,780 million, +14% QoQ and +24% YoY. Consolidated operating profit was NT$892 million, -63% YoY, mainly impacted by the NT$2,900 million inventory and A/R impairment loss from Leshi. Consolidated net profit was NT$417 million, and net profit contributed to the parent company was NT$254 million. EPS was NT$0.06 in 2Q17.
