Compal x "2021 Fighting the Epidemic Together - Distance Learning for Disad

2021 / 08/ 20

The COVID-19 epidemic that has spread throughout the world has hit the global education system hard. Compal feels that under the Level 3 epidemic prevention alert in Taiwan, the livelihood of parents from more vulnerable families is affected, and the suspension of school classes also hinders the services that could be provided to children and communities. It also makes it more difficult for disadvantaged children in rural communities to learn via online classes.

Compal has always been committed to narrowing the gap between urban and rural education. In order to enable more school children to learn without interruption, Compal donated 110 tablet PCs to participate in the public welfare project of World Vision's "2021 Fighting the Epidemic Together - Distance Learning for Disadvantaged Children." World Vision's Taitung District Office distributed the tablets to Guanshan Center, Chenggong Center, Taitung Center, Jinlun Center, and Lanyu Center to help the children and families that have been sponsored by World Vision for a long time.

Compal expects to help more children to learn during the period of "classes suspended but learning continues" and mitigate the devastating consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, so that the quality education that has been promoted for years in various cities and villages will not regress due to the epidemic. Compal will also continue to develop better digital products to promote inclusive learning and accelerate the improvement of information education, and continue to promote the global goal of reaching SDGs4 quality education and SDGs10 inequality reduction by 2030.
