COMPAL World Earth Day: In response to the “Do Something for Tamsui River” initiative

2022 / 04/ 22

On April 22 every year, Earth Day is a worldwide environmental protection event.

Starting from 2020, COMPAL has signed up for the “Do Something for Tamsui River” initiative, during which the company has taken the following action plans:

1.To promote water conservation, the company protects water resources by using eco-labeled hand soaps that are easily biodegradable.

2.In response to the CommonWealth Magazine’s “June 19 Riverbed Cleanup,” our colleagues and their family members took part in the Tamsui Lioukuaicuo Beach Cleanup, Linkou Jiabao Beach Cleanup, Keelung Wangyou Beach Cleanup, and Dadaocheng culture guided tour to “Do Something for Tamsui River.”

3.Planning a wetland conservation plan for the blue carbon ecosystem.

4.Participated in the CDP water security questionnaire and obtained management level in the 2021 water security questionnaire.

In 2022, COMPAL continues to participate in the “Do Something for Tamsui River” initiative launched by “CSR@commonwealth magazine” in tandem with the citizen enterprises that take care of the water resources as their corporate social responsibility. Like a very hard-working mother, Tamsui River takes care of more than 8 million people in northern Taiwan. In order to make the river healthier, COMPAL will continue to respond to the initiative by protecting the water resources.
