COMPAL’s “New Pen Pal Relationship - Hand in Hand and Walk Forward Together” event

2022 / 02/ 17

On February 17, Mandarin Daily News published a graphic report on the stories of COMPAL colleagues and tribal children learning from each other through words, pictures, and photos during the COVID-19 period.

In 2021, with the assistance of the Hsu Chauing Social Welfare & Charity Foundation, a total of 251 COMPAL colleagues started a journey through a pen pal exchange program with the Paiwan and Rukai schoolchildren who live in the mountains. Unafraid of the barriers to interpersonal communication caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, the COMPAL teachers continued to send their care and love to the children in the mountains, communicate and learn from each other, understand the tribal and community culture, and cherish the beauty of the moment.
